Pulicaria paludosa is native to Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Macaronesia (the Canary Islands and the Azores archipelago).
Pulicaria paludosa Link, Neues J. Bot. (Spanish fleabane) is an annual or perennial herb in the Asteraceae family, Asterales order. This species is native to Europe and Morocco, it was and was first recognized as a naturalized weed in California in the early 1960's, although it has been collected earlier - 1946 by Munz. It has yellow ray and disk flowers, flower heads are about 1cm in diameter with entire. The leaves are 1-3 (ep to 8) cm long and are linear to oblong, clasping and slightly rolled under. Achenes (seeds) are about 1mm with a pappus of bristles. P. paludosa grows upright from about 6 to 12 dm (23-47 cm) and is weedy in watercourses, moist ground, and disturbed areas throughout the southwest.
This species is not known to be ornamental.
