A tall, upright and bushy shrub with abundant pink flowers in spring followed by bright red berries; can grow quite leggy. Honeyrose Honeysuckle is smothered in stunning ruby-red flowers with yellow anthers along the branches in late spring. It features an abundance of magnificent red berries from mid to late summer. It has green foliage throughout the season. The oval leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. Honeyrose Honeysuckle is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth.
They were introduced into North America as ornamentals in the mid-18th and 19th centuries, due to their showy flowers and fruit. They were also used for wildlife food
and cover, and soil erosion control.
