Native to Europe and Asia.
Annual forb introduced from Europe/Asia. Has erect or ascending habit and can grow to 30 (sometimes 50) cm in height. Taprooted with fibrous extensions. Stems are single or branched, smooth and mostly glabrous. Leaves are alternate, without significant petiole and with no stipules, somewhat spatulate on stem. Apex of leaf is rounded. Inflorescence is a compound pseudo-umbel with five primary branches and is yellowish-green in color. Fruit is smooth, circa 3mm, and seeds are ovoid and areolate.
