Basket-of-gold, Aurinia saxatilis, is a herbaceous perennial known for its profuse yellow blooms. It is a low-growing, prostrate perennial that grows to a maximum height of 1 foot, and spreads to 1 to 1.5 feet. It forms rounded masses. It spreads and acts like a ground cover and is appealing in garden spaces or cascading over rock walls (Missouri Botanical Garden).
