Growth Form:  forb

Europe (throughout Western), into Eastern (Ukraine, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia); also Northern Africa, the Middle East, into Uzbekistan Kazakstan; and the Caucuses (Armenia, Georgia, etc.).

Annual herb in Asteraceae, up to 100 cm (40 inches) tall. One plant can produce as many as 40 flower heads, each with as many as 30 yellow ray florets but no disc florets. Open habitats, grasslands, pastures.
